The Getting Started Workbook Series consists of Workbooks 1 - 4, plus three supplementary booklets:

Workbook One for Partners—Beginnings
Workbook One will help you determine whether or not your partner has a problem with compulsive sexual behavior and will give you a clear picture about what sexual compulsivity is. Whether or not your partner has admitted to having a problem, this workbook will help you reflect on your own life, and determine what changes you can make that will help you live a life full of peace and passion and the happiness that you deserve.

Workbook Two for Partners—Family of Origin
Your core belief system often originates from experiences and pivotal events in your family of origin. Without placing blame, Workbook Two will help you gain valuable insight into how your family system might have contributed to the development of your faulty core beliefs.

Workbook Three for Partners—Understanding Shame
Workbook Three will introduce you to the concept of shame, give you an opportunity to examine sources of toxic shame in your own life, and provide you with some valuable strategies to help you break free from the cycle of shame. Learning to recognize and reverse your shame-based thinking can become a breakthrough part of your healing process, opening the door to a whole new outlook on life.

Workbook Four for Partners—Boundaries
The final workbook in the Getting Started phase, Workbook Four provides a look at internal and external boundary development. You'll learn how to recognize when you're living with unhealthy boundaries and discover healthier, more effective ways to interact with others. By establishing healthy boundaries, you can take charge of your life and gain a sense of empowerment that is liberating.

The First Step—Taking the First Step Toward Recovery
The First Step booklet is for those who are just coming to the realization that they may be suffering from some degree of compulsive sexual behavior (or for their partners and loved ones) and don't know where to turn for help. While this booklet is aimed at the addict, it offers a simple three-step plan that can be equally effective in helping the partners of addicts as they start out on this difficult road with their loved one.

The Toolbox for Partners—A Ready-Reference Guide for Healing and Recovery
The Toolbox for Partners has been adapted from the Toolbox for Addicts which offers the addict a handy booklet to access for immediate reinforcement at any point in recovery. While the addict's version provides deterrents to help the addict stop acting-out behaviors, the partner's version provides tools to help partners learn ways to take care of themselves as well as limit the damage in their relationship with their partner. By using the tools in the Toolbox, partners can find immediate successes to bolster self-confidence and help track progress on the path to healing.

Surviving Withdrawal-Laying the Groundwork for a Lasting Recovery
When faced with the painful and confusing symptoms of withdrawal (which are frequently unexpected), many addicts experience setbacks in their recovery. Surviving Withdrawal educates the reader as to what can be expected during withdrawal from compulsive sexual behaviors and offers tactics that will help the recovering addict push through these setbacks and move forward, replacing destructive acting-out behaviors with a healthier new lifestyle. This booklet is provided to partners so they too will understand these symptoms while their partners are going through the process of recovery.
